Morocco to UK 2016

May 23 – Jun 7: Morocco

May 23 – 24

Marrakesh: There’s no place in the world like the Marrakesh night market

Atlas – When I’m high in the Atlas …

Mountainous beauty, the mysterious color of red . . . Winding mountain road leads me further from my home . . . leading me on . . . leading me on . . . (Traveler – Symphonia album: Morocco – Always Dreaming Of You)

Ouzoud, Morocco: Best swimming pool ever… but just a bit freezing cold… Cave jam… Night hiking… Swimming in the river… it’s freezing but refreshing… I made a new friend… with a wild monkey… I gotta monkey on my back…

May 28: Bin Elouidan… Atlas mountain lake

Playing on my new Moroccan loutar in the Atlas Mountains

I don’t think there could be a more perfect CD to listen to while driving through the Atlas mountains, with its north African fusion it’s a great soundtrack for the scenery . I came to inherent this album because a friend of mine left this world recently and thanks to his excellent taste in music I am now enjoying it

Driving through the Atlas

I spent the last 3 days in the Berber village of El Had 3 hours from the nearest town on one lane windy mountain roads… Went to the market day in downtown village of El Had… I was playing my violin on the balcony of the Riad when I noticed some kids dancing. When I got done they clapped and gave me the thumbs up.

A walk through the market In the remote Berber village of El Had

Rush hour in the village

I’m jumping… If I flap my arms fast enough will I fly?

Jun 2: Winding mountain road… cows of Ait Bouguemez… Atlas, Morocco

Huge country… it has so many different landscapes

Doing laundry in the river is way more fun than using a machine… and almost always seems to end with a water fight. Atlas mountains Morocco

I think I came upon 2 cars driving for 3 hours, but it is a bit stressful when they come around the corner fast…

Jun 7

Jun7 – Jun 14: UK

Jun 9: Pevensey Castle

Jun 11: In Brighton today… street music… sand dog – beach dog… daybreak… West pier

Jun 12: Performance tonight at The Duke of Wellington in Shoreham UK. Cool music venue.. on the sea shore… Jammin with the boys from Shoreham, Matt and Steve. These guys are on it! … The history of this pub goes back hundreds of years, imagine the pirate debauchery that happened here. At one point in performing a dog walks right up on the stage and sits down. And it’s an indoor venue. Only in England…and Alaska..lol

Jul 13: Last day in the UK

Jun 14: Leaving England… arrival to Turkey

David McNabb, Festival Director: “Scott Jeffers and his group, Traveler turned out to be the biggest hit of the first annual Prescott Celtic Festival . . . They have amazing energy onstage and are true showmen. They had the audience enthralled the entire time.”
